Future Pathways into Trades opens doors for young women and gender-diverse people aged 16–25 from socio-economically disadvantaged communities. .

Delivered with support of the Bennelong Foundation, the project offers hands-on trade experiences, opportunities to connect with employers, and the confidence to imagine and pursue a future in trades in Brimbank, Melton and Dandenong (Victoria).

The program includes workshops and information sessions, engaging school-aged women and non-binary students from a wide range of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Participants gain hands-on trade experience, meet qualified tradeswomen, and take part in panel discussions on future career pathways.

The program continues to build awareness, confidence and aspiration among young women, turning exposure into opportunity. By showcasing real pathways into trades, the project challenges gender stereotypes and opens doors to secure, meaningful work.

Plans are underway to expand this program to additional regions.
